Ummm? What? LS6 Cam in 2002 Camaro SS?
The LS3 camshaft is typical Gen 3/4 faire--a gun drilled steel billet with roller hydraulic lifters. It's based on the one used in the LS6 which was used in a few 2002 Camaro SSes.
First Paragraph....
Bad information or something I just didn't know??

I've never believe the myth that a few 02's got the LS6 block, until I stumbled on one last year I put heads on. It had an LS6 block, and was an 02 car.
As for the cam, I highly doubt that. That would then require LS6 valve springs due to the higher lift of the LS6 cam.

Some got the LS6 block, NONE got an LS6. Rumor that will never die

There's a reason why you aren't finding the information - it is because it never happened. If an '01+ F-body ended up with the LS6 heads and/or cam, it was because the owner put it there, not the factory.
As stated, all '01+ F-bodies got the LS6 intake, and a handful of them got an actual LS6 block, but the block itself contributes nothing to the performance. FWIW, mine came with an LS1 block, built somewhere around October/November of 2001 as a 2002 model.
