Default New forged 346 dip stick popping out under hard throttle

We just put this 346 in a 2002 corvette. Finally got about 1500 miles on it and today the guy was having some fun in it today and called me about the dipstick has popped out and sprayed oil under the hood.

We dyno'd it with out any issues and all of the sudden it is popping the dip stick out.

The car has excellent oil pressure and is definitely not down on power, I am letting it cool and will probably stick it on the dyno later just to check.

The pcv system is stock with 15k miles on it and we have the valve cover vent tube going to the air bridge with a small catch can on it.

Engine Details:
Mahle Pistons
Comp Star Rods
Trick Flow 215
Fast 90mm
Kooks headers

I cannot imagine the compression being low, but I am going to check it.

A local guy had this same problem after putting about 1500 miles on his new 347.

More than likely just too much pressure in the crank case.

I'd say get some valve cover breathers and that should solve that problem.

that is from blowby. too much air leaking past the rings. give it another 1000 miles and if it is still doing it the rings must not have seated for some reason.

check the pcv system. you should not have that much pressure in there.

I agree, but then plug the port on the passenger side that goes to the TB

I agree on this to because I just did alot of work on my car and when I looked under the hood and seen those and they told me that those breathers were needed for the extra pressure added.
