Default LQ4 Cam Upgrade

I have an 88 Monte SS with a 2005 LQ4. Motor has stock internals except for LS6 valve springs, TR stock length hardened pushrods, and a small Comp 216/226 .526/.536 cam. I run a Victor Jr, 750 Holley, 1 3/4in headers, 4000 stall, 2004r and 4.56 gears out back. In full street trim (3600-3700lbs) I've run a best of 12.15@112. I want to squeeze more out of the car without doing heads or bottom end stuff right now. Right now I go through the traps at 6500-6600 so I need more cam to take advantage of my gears.

So I'm looking for cam suggestions. The car gets driven everywhere so I need a cam that won't kill valve springs and also allow me to run mid-priced ones. I'm looking at the F13-112, possibly the TR230, or even XER281HR. Anyone have any suggestions? The car will be converted to fuel injection this winter using an edelbrock intake and 1000cfm 4bbl throttle body.

Ok so after some digging, I've narrowed it down to the following cams.

F13-112 230/232 .595/.585 112LSA

Texas Speed Torquer V2 232/234 .595/.598

I've read that the Torquer cam is the same as the Comp 284. If so, why do they list different power bands? I'm looking for this motor to make power til 6800 to take advantage of my 4.56s. If they are indeed the same, I will keep my eye out for a used grind of each.

At the same time I plan to install PRC double valve springs.

Any suggestions? Heads have never been off and won't be coming off for this round of upgrades.

Assuming you have stock 317's, right? I would take them off and mill them down .040 to bump up your compression. You need compression to run a larger cam, and even milled will give your LQ4 around 10.0:1, give or take a bit with a .040 gasket.
