Default LS1 Cam Help please?

I'm wanting to put a cam in my trans am. I'll tell you what the car is/has and what I want to do with it.

It's a 2002 Trans am WS6 m6. as of right now I have straight exhaust, a bigger air lid and a dyno tune(as far as the motor goes). I want a cam that sounds good and ads some good performance without taking away streetability. I have a set of stock LS1 heads that I am going to have ported milled and get a valve job done on and I plan on putting those on there after the cam. Please throw me some advice on what cam you think I should get and why. I'm pretty fond of COMP.

most mild cams arent going to take away from the driveability and if you are fond of Comp call them up and talk to a rep and see what they can do for you. Tell them your short/long term goals. Also think about a tune in the very near future after the install. You have a dynotune but you will need a street tune and a WOT tune also. Best of luck.

yeah we have no idea what your goals are. if you want something thats going to be a dd then i would go with a 228 or something alone those lines.... with it id buy ls6 oil pump, ls2 timing chain, ls7 lifters and ls2 trays. and make sure you get the pushrods springs and all that good stuff

The 228 camshafts are really hard to beat. Checkout this dyno sheet comparing our new 228 camshaft next to the old 228R XER camshaft setup. Both grinds are done by Comp so you know your getting a quality product!!

We offer cnc porting of customers cores for $650!!! That includes valve job, machining, assembly & decking!!!

+1 for the 228r cam. just call texas speed and tell them your goals for the car and they will fix you up with everything. and they have some of the best customer service in the buisiness imo. oh and i just put one of those in my car and my numbers in my sig.
