Default Need dyno sheets of TR224 cam and MTI SSII cam

I need dyno sheets to be able to compare both cams.

Both must be with 100% stock heads.
please list your other mods (tuning is considered a mod).

I seriously doubt anyone has installed an SSII cam in a stock heads car. There have been very few of them sold at all.

I quit being a wuss and just ordered the TR224 114 cam with tit. retainers springs and all.

Cam will come in friday.
Installation and tuning will be on saturday the 29th (if everything goes as planned).

Too bad my kooks headers are not coming in till sometime in december. Dynosheet will have to be without headers.

Dyno will be with just an airlid, TB bypass, 160 stat, TR224 114 cam (springs rods retainers..etc) , stock manifold and cats, 2.5" slp y-pipe, Corsa Catback exhaust. Thats it! Everything else stock gears suck-*** tires everything..

Im hoping to see at least 350rwhp (i hope).

Rev limit will be set at 6600 rpms.

Car is an 02 Trans Am WS6 6 spd tranny.

Wish me luck!

Oh yeah what should I tune my A/F at WOT at the dyno? Want a safe ratio that makes good power.

yes its definetly with stock heads (look at the top in the tiny writing where it says "stock heads" ? ). Those numbers for other heads would be considered fairly poor IMO.

Ofcourse that car had lots of bolt ons as well. I would guess: LT headers, ls6 intake, cutout, airlid, pulleys and tuning. I doubt a 100% stock f-body ever see over 350rwhp just a cam and no tuning.

A cam really needs headers and all those airflow improving mods to get the full performance advantage out of it.

For example. A set of LT Headers could give you 20rwhp. A cam could give you 20rwhp. Both combined could give you anywhere from 50-70rwhp (you see its not necessarly 40rwhp). Bigger cams could go even higher like the other cam on the same sheet for instance, (blue line) doing 401rwhp this is on stock heads too! Ofcourse those numbers (the gain estimations) are all based on approximation but you get the point that the combo really makes the bigger difference (and headers and cam combo is JUST an example).

A while back I was planning on going with a H&C combo. But now that Im noticing the heads would cost me $1500+ for 20-25 rwhp over the cam (i wanted to go with a stealthy setup) I said screw the $1500+ purchase .

Ofcourse you get other things beside 20-25rwhp gain with the heads and cam vs just a cam like a much better power under the whole curve which is a big gain...

hope this helps.

(Now you see why I bought that cam ? Hope its just not too lobey on idle and tuning done.)

Hope your not confused here. That dyno sheet is not mine. But its the same cam choice ill be getting (im talking about the red line graph with 390rwhp).

My cam is in the mail ... wanted to do the install on saturday this week but ill have to wait till tuesday next week to get it in. Trying to be patient ...6 days and counting.

Im not expecting too much on tuesday since my headers are not coming in till dec 6-11 depending on production time. So the cam install will have to be without the headers which is a shame . Ill post the dyno sheets up some time next week with all my mods etc. For mods look at 4th post on this thread.

Im expecting no less than 350rwhp without headers (just a cam and my current mods) and no less than 375rwhp including the headers and hopefully no less than 385rwhp with headers and a cutout (390 would be awesome though ). But we'll have to wait and see. (hope my expectations are not too high).

Im sticking with the stock tires. Nittos coming later depending on how bad traction is. Ill let you guys know about the track times as soon as I go to the track. Im a terrible driver though. I ran 13.6 at 106mph (too much spinning).
