Default Can you make LS1 Heads LS6?

Ran into a guy that said he picked up a pair of LS1 heads for cheep and he is going to have them machined into LS6 heads. Is this possiable? If so is it worth the money to machine LS1 heads into LS6 heads or would it be cheeper to just pick up a set of LS6 heads? Sorry if this is a newb Q. just never heard of this be4.

It's possible. Just fill up the chamber and ports via welding, then have them machined to LS6 specs and you're in business.

Be a lot more expensive than just buying LS6 heads though...

Yah.. not possible... I'm looking at 243's and 853's right now and, although you could port the LS1's to flow like the LS6's, and mill them give you that bump in compression, they would still be different heads.
