Water in PVC oil catch can?
OK so a few weeks back I:
1. Ran through a few tanks of gas each with a double dose of carberator cleaner
2. loaded up a 1/4 tank of 93 octane with 12 bottles of dry gas (methonal) so I could retake and pass my NYS emissions test.
The test was finally successful and I passed on the second try...
My PVC oil catch can had about 1/4 cup of water and a few table spoons of crankcase oil in it....I assumed this was a normal result of running the carb cleaner and extra doses of methonal through the tank.,...
....After the test, I did not add anything to the next two tank fulls of 93 octane. However, wHen I changed the oil this weekend, I noticed some more water in the oil catch can - no crankcase oil; weird????
Is this normal?
Thanks...
