Default Should I PORT and POLISH my intakes

My C5 Vett is a stock six speed LS1.I was wondering if porting and polishing my intake would help me pull a little harder?If anyone knows please let me know ,thanks

The throttle body maybe, but not the intake. Put a LS6 intake on it if you want improvements in that area. The ported throttle bodies are good for 4 to 8 hp.

It's hard to port and polish plastic, but not impossible. The SAM school tried it and only gained about 3 hp, and that was after using about $400 worth of Devcon plastic filler. The problem is the intake has very thin walls. The Holley aluminum intake can be ported and polished, but it has fit and heat soak problems. Looks nice though.

I would just get LS6 intake I felt a difference in my car when i did it.
