Default 224/230 .581/.592 111+2 ??

What you guys think about this cam with ls6 intake a set of milled and lightly ported 98 heads with a 125 wet shot

Goal being 400 NA through a stalled auto.

The car is a formula with about 3300 race weight.

4.10's
28 tire
stall flashing to about 3600 now with bolt ons

Trying to get the most under the curve power and not having to replace injectors(got the 28.8)

I think this would run hard the way the car hooks now. Mostly for Running on the street but will try and run a decent 10 with this setup.

Modding a car is not cheap. The guys who go cheap are always here wanting help because something broke or they just had a catastrophic failure. Go through the threads and see what I am talking about.

You can get a custom cam ground pretty much anywhere for less than 400$. I think its silly to pay for 450 for a generic. my .02

I do completely agree tho sir.

Usually a costume grind is for automatic application or a strip only car. If your auto make sure to have the right stall also for the application. Talk to Lloyd Elliot he did my last H/C combo and he is doing my new one. Here is my Vette

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R5k1p0mvmM

It had a custom ground cam. If you go to youtube I wrote all the parts it had. I am going with 234/241 615/615 112LSA+2 243 heads with 215cc runners

Hey, I think that would work out good. Its easy to get any cam grind you want.

Just for fun, you might run some numbers on that 224/230 110+0 LSA. Gives you a little more overlap (if you want it) and bumps up the IVC from ~41 to 42. That would give you a good power curve..peaking at ~6200Rpms..and shouldn't fall off too soon. That additional overlap should make up for taking out the advance.

Maybe you mentioned it, but what CR are your heads?

Overall, sounds like a good choice (IMO)..

We have some of the new TSP grind camshafts in stock that would work for you. I have a 225/230 in stock we used for dyno testing. It uses the new PRC lobe on the intake & XFI on the exhaust.

Here's the specs:

225/230 .615/60x 111+2

I can provide you with engine dyno data for you & can sell it to you out of the engine dyno motor for $335!!!
