That's what i figured but the SS4000 should shoot me up into my power band.
Gains is what i hope for, trying to hit low 11s with the ms3 and a full weight car....loose 300lbs and could probably hit high 10s.
Trust me i have looked into heads, especially the PRC 5.3l stage 2.5s. Would rather do heads once i have my fast 92/92 to go with it.

With the stall you have, and if you're just wanting ET gains, you could definitely go with the MS3. Like others have said, it is going to cost some of your bottom end and mid-range power and street manners that you would like for a street driver. So are the ET's or street manners more important to you?

I like the responses, as far as the cam goes, the MS3 is obviously bigger than the V2. The duration is higher as well which would make me to believe you would be pulling more power in the upper RPM's, which would be great for that stall you have. Personally I say go for the cam and intake if you want to stick to a stock bottom end.
Just curious, are you on the stock trans?

I'd really consider cylinder heads instead of the camshaft change. I definately would look Tsunami instead of MS3. You need to keep that bottom end power in the car & gain up top. The Tsunami will do a much better job of doing that compared to the older MS3 camshaft. I've done the engine dyno testing several times, trust me the Tsunami would be better across the board compared to the MS3.
Personally I'd look to a new cylinder head like the PRC 215s or maybe PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads. Either option would be a big power gain where camshaft change is probably only 10hp...

MS3's do not have very good street manners no matter how good of a tuning specially if u have it tuned to go ***** to the wall(since you're sayin you want ET gains)! But FAWK it you can't exactly have both a 10 sec track car and a nicely mannered street ride! Go for it!
Oh yeah and good luck on that stock tranny lasting long!

Those are some killer cam only times for a full weight car. But you also have a killer suspension to go with it. I also think you might have freak 10 bolt because you must be sticking out of the whole with all those suspension mods.
