T&D and Jesel are a couple of others ... Comp has a trunnion upgrade for the stock rockers as well as Harland Sharp ... there are a ton of high HP cars running stock rockers

With GM heads and a good wipe pattern, stockers with upgraded bearings are the best approach.

if a rebuilt stocker is best bet then why do people upgrade? there has to be some sound gains, longevity issues or something...i have P&P heads and aftermarket cam, lifters, valve springs etc...just looking for sound advice is all

I won't speak for everyone but I can tell you why I run Yella Terra. I tried to get my stock rockers to provide a good wipe pattern on the valve stem and could not achieve it despite many hours of shimming and moving things around. The YT's set up with an excellent narrow wipe pattern that was consistent. This should maximize the life of the bronze guides in my heads. I know the YT's likely have more rotary inertia than the stockers, but there was no evidence of valve train instability on the dyno. There is little to no HP in a set of rockers, at most maybe 5 hp.

^^^^^^Dude knows his stuff. Listen....... IMO bottom line is stock heads with with ductile iron guides and moderate lift (say 600 + or -) stockers with HS upgrade are almost impossible to beat. They are VERY light. Aftermarket heads YT is my choice unless $$$ no object then Jessel........ I have no experince with TD but hear good things but even more $$$ than Jessel I think.

I would say that 615+ lift you should start to think about rockers YT or scorpions because that is what I have seen been used and they work and don't break down.

Now the lightest is the stocker and if you change the trunnion bearing then you should be set. Also the decision should be made to lightened the valve train not so much for hp.

Lunati if your going with a Comp R type of lifter and they need an adjustable rocker then I would go with Lunati.
