Default Cam before headers question/advice?

So I bought an 04 GTO MN6, was upgraded with LS6 heads and LS6 cam, still has stock exhaust. I know headers are typically done before a cam upgrade however there is a really good deal going on cam packages and I can't afford to do both right now. My question is would it be ok to upgrade to a Texas Speed Torquer v.2 Camshaft (232/234 .595/.598) on a 112 LSA along with valve springs and do the headers later or is it going to run like crap?
Thanks in advance, Eric

Its not going to run like crap, you'll just be holding back the cam from its true potential. So when you do add headers you will get a bigger jump in power then the normal header swap.

Thanks, that's kind of what I thought. Think I may end up going with the Texas Speed 228R (588"/.588) as I've read the Torquer 2 is pretty week down low. Then do headers later as funds or opportunity allows. Any more responses would be appreciated.
Thanks, Eric

Me you just gather all that your going to gather then put it on. Weather your doing it yourself or paying some one its good just to do it all at once. Your going to have top pay for a tune when you put the cam on and once you put the headers again.

At 250 to 500 a tune and having to do it twice you do the math.

You can get away with out tuning with just the cam but how long can you drive around not wanting to go over 4K rpm?
