Default Tell me about this cam

Comp Cam RPM6 was 242/248 .612/.615 114+0 LSA

This is a custom grind cam and i've got a friend thats thinking about using it.

I realize it definitely a big cam but thats about all i now. Is it too much cam for a stock cube ls1 with intake/headers? Anything you guys can tell me would be great.

Thanks

That is after a Trex cam The Lift is a little more (608/612 to ur 612/615) and the LSA is a little higher (110 to ur 114) but it seems its after the Trex cam. There was just a thread do not use PRC 205CC heads with that cam. I would make sure he has a minimum of .080 valve to piston clearance. His springs should and I say again should have at least .050 more lift than the top lift number, so he need to be looking at Comp Cams 26926-16 Springs. What is it going to be dd, strip, street strip, week end warrior. If he has never used a big cam like this before he is in for a rude awakening when it comes to drive ability. I and its just me I would not use anything less than 243 heads ported and polished stock size valves and DO NOT MILL the heads at all. 64CC chambers and that's it.
