Default Valve seal help...

I have a set of heads with the PRC .660 titanium springs that I bought from a guy, well today I noticed that all the valve seals are not at the bottom of the valve seat. A few of them are even up towards the spring retainer. I just had once valve put in these heads and the machine shop vaccum checked everything and said the heads were good. Could they have missed this or Is this normal? Should they all be fixed to the seat? I am used to working on SBC/LT1 stuff, which needs to be fixed to the seat.

Any input would be great!

Of course they should all be down on the guides where they belong. I would go over the heads yourself...much better than finding out you have other troubles later on. BE SURE TO SOLVENT CHECK ALL the valves!

What valve seals is everyone using for their dual springs? I hear that sotck GM replacements won't with with dual springs.

The GM seals have always worked for me. I have had problems with aftermarket seals coming off the guide and riding up and down with the valve. Also, you should verify the valve spring retainer to seal clearance at the full valve open position for the cam you have installed.

What he said.

If theres enough clearance, might just need to change the type/brand of seals.
