Default thermostat Q

i had my car tuned a few months ago and i noticed they made the fans run earlier then stock..but i recently put a 160 thermostat in my car and the fans dont come on early like they did wen the guy tuned it and i dont notice a difference at all?..whats goin on with this, should i see a temp drop? cuz i dont

98 was the last year they put a working temp guage in these cars.

so your car may be running 15deg cooler...but the guage won't show it.

they aren't coming on cause its not getting hot enough.

Get your tune touched up for the new thermostat temp and have the fans come on earlier. No point in having a 160 stat if your fans still kick on near 200.

no need to adjust the fan settings really....he said they were already lowered on his last tune.

stock fan settings are enough to prevent damage
