Mainly looking for a cam not so noticeable. The cam on that gto almost sounds like a stock cam. I have a CIA, catback, UD pullies, gears, lower temp stat with fans programmed, headers and ORY as far as performance mods along with a crap-ton of weight reduction

Had the "Gm Hotcam" as my first cam. I am going on total memory here, but I believe the specs were ~219/228 .525 .525 112+3 LSA. Decent cam, especially mid range. I think the advantage at the time was you could get the total cam package (including valve springs) for a good price. The lobes were not exceptionally harsh and for a lower lift cam performed admirably.
That cam has ~0 overlap. I actually think it has a pretty nice lope. You could definitely tell it was not a stock cam. From that idle clip, sounds like the operator has a fairly high idle and a lot of spark advance. So the lope is perhaps a little muted.
If the other cam that you are referring to is the LS6 cam, that is a totally different animal. As far as I am aware there is only one GM Hotcam. Things are always changing, so if I am wrong..someone please clarify.
There are so many newer lobes and cam technology now, that the choices today are endless. If you are trying to retain a 'stock' idle, go for a 220/220 114 LSA, or a cam with a total overlap of < -6 degrees.
Hope that helps.

The GM Hotcam was my first cam I installed in a LS1. I was really surprised how good it sounded. I ran the SLP 1.85 rockers with it and long tubes in a 02Z28 and the car made 385 rwhp.
