new starter junk?
This is on my 99 formula. complete new engine and tranny. turbo kit..etc.
I relocated the battery to the trunk. the negative side of the battery is grounded to the frame. and the starter is not cranking. it bumps and dies. the battery is brand new also and has a 100% charge on it. the block is grounded to the frame to. I used a a/c unit thread m8 bolt to ground the block to the frame.all grounds are 2guage. the starter fuse is good checked it. the starter did seem like the teeth were not all on the flywheel. Im taking the starter back to napa today and checking it to see if it is a dud. I used 6guage to the starter from the battery and curious if that may need to be bigger..? Like I said the starter teeth was about 50% on the flywheel.
any ideas would help.

You will have to bench test the starter to eliminate electrical issues pertaining to the car. That's the only way to narrow down where Ăťour problem is.
