3600 lb plus car? Any dyno numbers? Would like to know if the torque is up there to match unlike some of the large sticks.

That's the cam I just put in my vette last week. It pulls like hell now! It made 397/384 on what I was told a conservative dyno. Should be in the 11s no problem now so with that weight, probably low 12s?

I know a local guy running a 226 cam in a CETA T/A with NO headers, but a cat back, DR's and skinny's runs 7.9X in the 1/8th. Full weight, leather and even has the spare tire/jack still in the car.

I'm running a 224 w/581 lift and 1.8 rockers and 3500 lbs plus driver (still has jack and spare tire). So far it went 7.36 in 1/8 th. It's a comp. Cams custom grind from texas speed. I've been to track twice and had bad trans and converter first time and didn't have time to get shift points worked out before second trip. I think she'll get into the twentys at least. It's still pretty smooth idle.

I did 180mph before backing down due to lack of runway. It had 190mph+ written all over it. This was with an LG G5 cam, home ported heads, a built bottom end, all stuffed into a 1999 FRC. More weight will actually help your car be more stable.

These are all good data points.

I have the cam but still think about the larger grinds. Just kind of scared if I opted to go larger it may not ET or feel as good. My race weight is 3800 so I can't really afford a cam that goes like 420/370

Why don't you look into the Lunati VooDoo line like what I got, I know for a fact you'll see low 11's maybe even high 10's on your auto and I have there second to smallest cam and you've seen what my car does....lol

And plus you have enough of stall for a bigger cam.

One reason is the Comp Magnum 1.85's I am running. I like them and want to keep them. The other is I like the red light to red light torque and not having to spin it 6500 plus to make power. Third is just my fat car so I need a torque cam rather than just higher HP numbers. The cam I have will give me .581/.583 lift with my rockers and it's here.
