Question What rod should i use?

I'm building a 383 that will be making around 500hp on motor, and plan to spray a 150/200 shot in a few months down the road. I have a set of Eagle 6.125 rods with arp 8470 rod bolts. I was looking at a set of Callies 6.125 rods with arp 2000 rod bolts. Will the Eagle rods hold up just fine and last a while, or should i go ahead and get the Callies rods? Can someone help me out?

Thanks
Matt

The Eagle rods would be fine although I would upgrade the bolts. I do prefer the Compstars for their "out of the box" useability... Callies holds some very good tolerances.

By the time you buy the ARP 2000 bolts like you said you are almost to the price of the callies rods which already have the ARP 2000 bolts. The set I got for my build did not need to have any material removed for balancing. The machine shop said they were perfect. Good luck getting that with the eagles based on what he said. The callies are supposed to be some of the best rods for the money. Good luck with the build.
