Default Recommend me a cam

So I've got a a 2002 Z28 M6 with K&N FPIK, full exhaust, ported throttle body, and full exhaust. I plan on also getting new heads and intake but I have no idea which ones or when that will happen. I've been considering the MS3, Torquer V2, and the Texas Speed 233/239 cam. I want something thats going to make good power but not be too extreme.

i would remove the MS3 from that list.

the Tv2 is a good cam, my Tv1 is very easy to drive on the street, other than the clutch being touchy (stg 4 w/ alum flywheel). i can cruise around town at 1200-1500rpm no problem.

and having <.600" lift will increase your options for heads that won't require flycutting.

that cam, with something like some stg2.5 5.3L heads and a ported FAST would yield 450rwhp.
my Tv1 made whats in the sig on stock heads and a stingy dyno.

Get a custom grind cam for your set-up. I dont think you will like the MS3.

my vote goes to the v2. i have the f13 which is almost identical, and it drives great and makes good power up top.

Checkout the V3 if you have the spring for the extra lift. It's without a doubt better across the entire useable rpm! We also have a new 229/234 camshaft that's working very well for us! I'd personally go Torquer 3 without a doubt!

Tv3 fits under stock heads.

but it will limit your head options down the road a bit.

Like the guy above stated, you will NOT need to flycut with a stock long-block.
