Default How streetable is this cam?

I recently purchased a lunati 230/237 .544/.543 112 cam. I also got TR hardened pushrods, comp 918 springs w/ Ti retainers, and LS1 Edit. I am running on stock heads and stock cubes and plan on leaving it that way for a while. The reason that I purchased this cam is b/c it should produce good power, lobe good, and the lift makes it wasy on the internals. However, how streetable is this cam going to be, and what are your all's reaction to this cam?

lope will be nice...lift won't be breaking many of the good new springs if installed correctly...u'll need tuning, but won't be too bad w/an M6...but u'll def. need tuning and play w/ur TB hole to get the car to run

I have Edit and a good tuner. You think the cam is going to produce good power?

should make pretty good power...id like to see a before/after graph...

of course the lift is a little lower than what you would normally see with a cam with that much duration, only putting it in will give you the whole story...

i like the specs...and the price...that is one of the $175 lunati cams on special right?

my car is my daily, and i still have the stock stall...for another week...

its is definately a change, but ive gotten used to it and with the stall it will be any hassle at all

Jonezy, someone posted that a lot of those Lunati cams for $175 were actually defective cams that were supposed to be tossed in the garabage by Lunati. Make sure yours is fine

I called Lunati last week and asked them about it and they said that it was the 224/224 .560 cams that were bad. They promissed me that mine was fine. So I took their word on it

Well, RPM offers a stage one cam with similar specs. Its a 232/236 548/552 112. Our experience has been stellar. We put this in a car, and changed nothing but the cam and she picked up 50+ hp. I believe the exact number was 52-53rwhp with just a cam swap. Of course, cams are moer than just specs, the majority has to do with the ramps of the cam.

But, in her car it didnt idle to well, but after tuning, it was fine. This was in an auto car BTW. So she made great power and has good drivability with good tuning.

Hope this helps
