Question ls1 and lq4 combined

hi i have a 2001 ls1 with a busted block (that my wife drove through some water and sucked it in the cold air intake) i also have a 5.3 truck motor complete and a lq4 short block with a bad crank for future projects that i will have to do now!!! my question is which crank should i use in the lq4 so i can put the ls1 parts on it (ls1 crank? 5.3 crank? and which crank sensor?)

The LS1 crank is gun drilled so use that one. Truck cranks are not. A buddy told me some cranks on manual cars are different but I don't know for sure if this is true....never seen it...
