'98-'02 F-Body Oil Pan Question

Default '98-'02 F-Body Oil Pan Question

Having no luck finding a replacement oil pan and noticed that City Chevrolet (www.citycratemotors.com) has it listed but with a different part # than the one stamped on my pan or on the barcode tag.

Contacted them to verify it was the same pan and they have no record of the part #s on mine, 12558899 stamped on the pan and 12558762 on the barcode. Can anyone verify a part # change or that this is indeed the same pan?

i just found a few forsale threads in the forsale section that have these pans. that aside,
if the picture is what it says it is, that is the correct pan.

Default Brand new LS1 OIL PAN

Just purchased a brand new factory oil pan for 2000 trans am and the total including shipping was $216.74 from gmpartsdirect.com, part #12628771 ,I was also confused on part numbers, but this part # comes with oil pan bolts and gasket, gm has different part numbers for different packages[with gaskets] [without gaskets] [with oil pickup] you get the picture, anyway before I bought my car the torque converter bolts came loose and ate a hole in the pan and the rear main cover. your pan number was probably superceaded, happens all the time when they replace stuff
