Default LS-9 timing chain tensioner

I have a 04 LQ9 short block,what I need to know is LS-9 timing chain tensioner compatible with this block and a LS-2 timing chain?

This LS-9 tensioner has a spring for improved durability,will it work on gen III ?

The LS9 tensioner was actually used on later LS2 and some LS3 engines as well. It is compatable with LS2 and up blocks and should work on your iron block as well.
