Im trying to get the most out of my engine before i start to tear it down and do heads and cam. I read a thread on here a while ago where the guy did full bolt ons and the only internal mods were 1.8 roller rockers and he had it dynoed and he was making 415 at the wheels.

Do 1.8s if you have money to burn or are trying to impress people with bolt ons, but unless all other bolt ons are done I'd spend your money elsewhere.

It depends on the application that you are going with. If you are running a stock internal engine and you are going with a 1.8 rocker it will make your final lift number higher there fore needing new springs specially if it is a stock engine all the way around.
I would say this, figure out what heads you are going to use. Figure out what cam you are going to use lifters rods and so on. Research the **** out of it and then choose the rocker you want to apply to your car.
Many "off the shelf" cams are ground to run with 1.7 rockers and yes you can run them with 1.8 but depends on the total package. The you have to see weather you want to run shaft mounted rockers, or stud mounted rockers.
You also have to figure out which rocker is going to fit your application best, and what type of HP and pressure you are putting these rockers under.
Just to put any given size rocker just because is not the way to do it. Fore thought goes into choosing parts for any given package.

Look around and you will find X-ER,XFI ,LSK etc... really any of the agressive lobes are not recommended with 1.8's.... LS6 or Hot Cam yea will work fine. The ramp rate is too fast causing valve control issues on the more agressive cams... I am glad your car is still running well for you though
