Default Anyone have dyno numbers and or track times with MM2 cam 228/234?

THis MM2 cam 228/234 607/598 110 + 2 is powering a texas A4 vette with stock cubes into the 10s consistently with just a CAM and bolt ons?

Anyone here also running that cam and if yes what dyno and track numbers you putting down?

Thanks

I think its 110+2. 100+2 would be choppy, to say the least.

Try this website
www.bonestockracing.com
There are some local guys that run that cam on that site. I believe they have times/dynos under the garage.
Quite a few people down here are getting that cam from mmt. Sounds pretty wicked!!
hope this helps

Nice cam specs, I like that split. To much lift IMO, but a nice stick no doubt. Would make great power N/A and nitrous would kick ***

It'd be better suited for NOS if it was on a 114, IMO. (Or at least a 112, damn, 110 is TIGHT)

Shawn, I agree with you. I have always thought higher LSA's were better suited for nitrous purposes. However i've talked to a lot of SBC chevy guys that swear by 109-110 LSA/ICL's for nitrous use. Either way the cam would kick *** IMO....The 110 would hit a NICE lick...

Its a badass cam.

In reality though, whatever big cam you with will give you within 10hp of each other. Just decided when you want to do a cam and pull the trigger. There is only so much research you can do.

True to a point, if he was building an all out racecar, power would be all that matters. But, since it is his daily driver (A 2003 Z06, to boot) other factors come into play. Gas mileage, idle quality, driveability, and performance are all equal parts to the equation. IMO, he can't do enough research, putting a large cam in a $50,000 car isn't someting that he should regret a week after it is installed.

Sounds like a G5X-1 to me -2 degrees of LSA and -2 degrees of advance.

looks like a very agressive intake lobe. 607 lift on 228* is a bit faster than an X-ER ramp.

You need the advertised duration to be able to figure out the ramp rate. You can have a 228 camshaft with .607 lift and still have a very lazy lobe. Big lift dosent determine ramp rate.

Beast: I was assuming that the ramp is going to be atleast as fast an XE-R in order to maintain idle quality and that would fit with the strategy used by TR in their "Old Man Cam."

Your defitinely right, w/o the .050 spec, I can't be sure and should have spelled out my assumptions.

Isn't the 228/234 the .050 spec?
