crank on 6.0
Does anyone know about early 6.0 cranks? i just got a new shortblock and it the crank sticks out about a half inch approximatly from the rear seal. just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. just wanted to get this out there that it does not have a crank spacer. Just wanting to know if anyone has had any problems with this. i had a 408 that i had a convertor made by chance for and it fit with my SFI flexplate perfect. This engine when i put the tranny in, the convertor will not pull off the pump with my SFI flexplate, it is buried from when i draw the trans up to the block. just wondering if anyone else has seen an engine with this problem?

6.0l 99-00 have a 12552215 casting crankshaft that has a longer rear snout that is approx .860 longer then the 12552216 casting. These are less desirable as they will not work with a 4L60e
The 12552216 casting number is used on crankshafts for the following applications
5.3L 99- up
5.7L 97/98-04 The LS1's are the only cranks that will have a 1 inch hole gundrilled through the center of the mains...
6.0L 01-up
Each crank Is neutral ballanced to it's specific application.
