Default Pistons & Rings for lq9

Can someone recommend me a good set of pistons and rings that will work with the stock rods on a stock lq9? I really only need a ring set, but that alone is over 300$. But after looking I found cheaper piston and ring sets, but I am not sure which ones will be good. I wouldn't mind going with higher compression pistons either. I plan on swapping cam, heads, intake, etc in a few months and possibly adding nitrous. Thanks for the input. I kinda need these parts asap as I am truckless at the moment.

Nvm. Found them. A bit too expensive. What is the average for just a good ring set though? I am seeing/hearing prices from 80 bucks to 300+, so I really don't know

Did you try Speed Pro? I'm pretty sure their hypereutectics are under $300 with rings.

Pffft, I would rather run stock pistons and a good set of rings then.

I looked up the speed pros. I am gonna probably have to wait and save for some good forged ones to withstand the n2o later. I will probably stick with stockers for now and a good set of rings, unless there are other options. I am just not sure what kind of luck people have had with what pistons and on what setups. I just don't want to have to spend more money on the same parts over and over down the road.

If your stockers are in good condition, a good cleanup (piston clean) and quality set of rings allows for fair amount of nitrous use with a good tune.
Most nitrous damage come from bad tunes or excessive amount (over 150 shot).

A good set for nitrous use is Wiseco and Hellfire rings.

That's fine. I'd rather run the Speed Pro's.
