Default g5x-3...drilling throttle body?????

Hey guys we tried starting up the car for the first time with the new setup. The setup is as follows:

PP Stage II LS6 heads with 59 cc chambers
G5x-3 on 112 LSA
Stage III 4l60e
Yank PYE3600
Tuning by Jayson at MTI (baseline tune only, just enough to drive to the shop)

OK so here is the situtation. The car will start but it won't find an idle for ****. I have to constantly feather the gas to keep the car running. It is running way too rich, and puddling causing the car to die! I'm sure that the throttle body needs to be drilled slightly. I've got the car idling now, but it is just rigged. I've got tape wrapped around the throttle stop so that the blade is slightly open allowing in more air. The only problem with the current solution is that the TPS is sensing the blade being open and is still adding fuel causing a rich condition, but at least it doesn't die. So I guess the question is; How much should I drill out the TB? Is anyone in here running the same cam or anything close, if so how much did you guys drill out? What bit size to use? Any other tips???

Go slow! Just a little at a time. New throttle blades are NLA! Drive around after each drill. Tuning helps ALOT! make sure tuning is right. Good luck.

I drilled a 3/32 hole in mine to get it to idle before tuning. Start out with a 1/8" and go from there.

There is no reason to drill anything! There is a TB blade adjustment. Hold the arm to open, look underneath, and there is a torx head that you can tighten or loosen. Loosen that up 1/4 turn at a time untill your idle gets better. Chris Robinson usually has people open in 1/2 to start it out.

Also I would get more than a base tune. This cam is pretty wicked and you having an A4 you really need a good tune.

Yeah the base tune is just suppose to work, so that I can drive it up to MTI and drop it off for a day. I intend on getting a complete A/F tune done this week. Monday we will be welding in the rollcage, and laying down the wiring for the wet kit, then re-installing the interior. Tuesday I will put in the fuel pump, and get her all cleaned up. Today I went ahead an drilled the throttle body a little and used the adjustment screw to open the blade slightly. It seems to be good enough now, that I can drive it to MTI on Weds. For what it's worth, we went for a spin this afternoon, and the thing runs like a raped ape. I was totally scared shitless! I can't wait to see what this thing does with a proper tune. Damn I'm realy going to need some tires!

The only problem with this is that it changes the TPS voltage and could set off a code.
