I run a 416 LS3, but I chose to use the 8000RPM Caddy racing lifters. I've heard nothing but good, and so far after many runs at the track, and daily driving, I havent had one problem. Many with big builds use Caddy or LS7's

well most peopledont rev past 7-7500 rpm.... that said, the ls7 lifters are very good pieces and are half the price as the caddy lifters. i was even able to get some from texas speed on sale not too long ago 4 only 119.00 bucks. comp also makes a very nice one i think the model is 875 (875-16) cant remember really. good luck with everything

Morel goes into our race engines, anything else is just stock and is not a true hi performance lifter. Application also comes into play... cam and springs should play a major factor in the decision. Caddy lifters have been the wrong choice for many many people and an LS7 lifter is just a stock gm lifter. We've seen them need to be replaced at 14k miles (develop a tick).
Aplication application !! what rpm is the car going to see all the time and what springs and cam profile??

Well i will be running a magic stick 3 cam with prc dual valve springs and 7.4 push rods. Depending on where the hp starts to drop off on the dyno will depend on what rpm i will be shifting at but i am guessing high 6k rpm shifts. I wil be putting in katech rod bolts also!!!

I could not put it better myself. I have an Ed Curtis Cam that is as big as the MS3, Ed's cams have way more aggresive lobes than anything i have ever tried with a 614 lift. I have had no problems. I have stock lifters with comp 921 springs ti retainers, 243 heads, and the GM ZO6 valves.
