Default 4.8 and5.3 heads

Wondering what heads came on both the 4.8s and 5.3s, iv found two motors i can get supercheap from my father inlaws scrap yard. just wondering if they would be any count on a budget built motor

All the older 4.8's and 5.3's had basically the same heads (couple different castings is all) with the small chambers. Some of the newer trucks come with 243/799 castings heads, which are the LS6/LS2 castings. These are more sought after for performance.

Also on the older 4.8s and 5.3s they came with the 706 and 8** something( i forgot ...) The 5.3s can be fun if you get them really cheap.
