Default head gasket swap on a 5.3

I know, not exactly an LS but I'm getting roped into helping a coworker swap a head gasket on his 5.3 tahoe, has anyone done it? Any gotchas I should know about or is it straightforward and similar to an LS1?

Same as the ls engines. Make sure you put the head gaskets on properly they are labeled well. Have fun with the torquing...

Cool, thanks for the input.

I haven't actually done heads on an LS1 INSIDE a car, always out of the car because I was doing something else. Looks like there's enough room in the truck bay it shouldn't be too bad.
