Default Cam for lighter vehicle?

Undergoing an LS1 swap an an 89 240 hatch. Lots of thing deleted so it should be pretty light. I am leaning towards a Streetsweeper HT or something in the 220-230 range. I want tourque shortly off idle, but in a lighter car, will a bigger cam meet my goals better? Not afraid of changing valve springs or adjusments as my last vehicle had solid lifters but... This car will be mostly around town, scare some friends, street driven. Not in a hurry to buy a cam because I want to start it on a basically stock motor.
