Default Painting or polishing lifter valley

I have an LQ4 block and i'm cleaning up all the oil return holes of the casting flash and burrs. I was either going to polish the inside of the lifter valley to help with oil return, and it also helps relieve some stress points. I remember seeing an article awhile ago about painting it to make it smooth, anybody know what that special paint was and where I can get it? Thanks.

i know this wasnt the answer u were looking for but id say dont worry about it. if ur worry about oil taking too long to drain back to the pan, put an extra half quart in it.

I'm not worried about it but my block will be down for awhile so i'm working on it. It will be better for it anyways. I'm probably not gonna paint it as i'm worried it can flake off eventually. I'll polish it up, not like a mirror but good enough as to allow better drain back, and get that nasty casting flash off it.

the paint is called glyptal. i believe it was originally created for large ge electric motors but many racers paint the oil galley with it as it fills "hang up" areas and provides a smooth surface to promote better draining.
