Arrow About to Order Parts! Need Opinions!!!!

Hey guys, Im sure you get a lot of these questions and get annoyed pretty easily, but I just want to make sure my engine set up is good.

I was looking into purchasing the TSP PRC Stg 2.5 LS6 Heads with a Torquer v.3 Camshaft. The car is like a weekend warrior project, and it is a A4 speed.

Engine has:
-new clevite mains and rod bearings
-new eagle rods
-fresh GM crank
-ARP main stud kit
-diamond pistons -2cc valve reliefs
-new GM file fit rings
-LS6 valley tray mod and valley cover

Just curious how this setup sounds to you guys and any feedback

Thanks for reading

Chris

It is a good combo, the only reservation I have is the LSK intake lobe (pretty harsh). For longevity I would be more inclined to use a slightly softer lobe with similar specs. But (again) if proper attention is given to valvetrain components and setup (geometry and preload), it has great potential.
Perhaps you should talk directly with TSP and see what else they can offer, they have been working with new proprietary lobes that are a tad more valvetrain friendly.

I love the V3. It pulls like a champ. Be sure you have enough converter so that you don't bog in the midrange.

I was gonna do a LS6 for now, and then latter of course a fast. And I was told anywhere from a 3400 to 3600 stall speed would fit the car.

Sounds like a fun combo! I'd definitely go with the EHT .675" lift springs for this one! The EHT's will have about twice the longevity of the standard .650" lift springs combo on that big intake lobe!

If you can bare it, I would go with a 4K. Its gonna cost you a little more mpg and a little more rpms to get moving but worth it IMO. Im running a Yank 4K with my TR224 and it is awesome.

The EHT spring kit is a $50 upgrade over the standard .650" lift spring option.

No in car vids of my Yank. I ran a 3200 for about a year and a half and it was very very similiar at part throttle. The 3200/tr224 is an awesome street combo but I felt it needed a tad more converter, dont get me wrong, it was good, but to get the max from the combo I felt it could use a couple hundred more rpms. With this Yank 4K I think its downright perfect. I know the torquer moves the powerband up slightly, so I think a 3200-3600 would be good, a 4K should be awesome. I do have vids of the 3200 converter though. Shift extension with my 3200 was about 4800-4900 rpms. The Yank 4k never sees under 5500 after a shift. Thats a difference you can FEEL.

I was just searching for this combo and found your thread. I want the same thing but in a M6 with 4.10's. I have two questions, estimate on how much power and torque? Estimates for fuel mileage. Before I get flammed about the fuel mileage, I like to take the car on road trip. Places like the keys, beach, up north etc.

Let me know what think.

It's always hard to determine dyno numbers because different cars have different mods. You can easily get 450+rwhp from a Torquer 3 / PRC head combo with the right mods around the heads/cam!

I have seen the V3 make 420/395 to the wheels with bolt ons and cam only, stock heads.

You would need better heads than the OP and never see it with that cam if you are A4.
