Default Cam difference?

Can anyone explain in layman's terms the difference between this cam MS3 - 237/242 .603/.609 and a MS4 - 239/242, .649"/.609. Will be going in a 2002 Camaro M6 with a set of new heads. MS3 with the PRC 2.5 5.3L (package) and the MS4 with AFR 205s. Pros? Cons? Car will be more of a weekend driver. Few trips out of town (600+ miles). Goal of 450+ rwhp and great torque. New intake to help or will the LS6 work just fine?

MS4 FTW !!! but you might have problems with clearance cuz the .650 lift... With stock pistons, I'll go with the MS3

But call Texas Speed, they will help you select the best cam for you !!!

649 lift is quite a bit even with gold springs...stay safe around 600 is more then enough to benefit from any set of heads on the market.

From what I have read and understand...if you go over like 615 lift you will have to fly cut your pistons so they won't hit the valve...maybe someone can chim in on the subject...

Its not the lift that causes ptv issues it is the duration.
