Default Ls1 lifter noise

I've got a lifter tapping in my trans am, engine is stock with 47000 original miles. When I first start the car it sounds fine but as soon as it warms up it starts tapping. When I rev the engine it'll quiet down some but continues to tap. I've heard about using engine oil solvents to try and release any trash that might be in the lifter plunger but I'm not sure if that stuff works or not. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and fixed it, if so how?

I've had good luck with seafoam and lifters in the past, but I have never tried it on an LS1.

I'm actually going to thread jack a little here, I was fixing to make my own lifter thread.

I went to run some errands today and it started ticking pretty good. Pulled over, killed the engine, checked the oil, and fired it back up and it was quiet for the rest of the day. Any chance that it just got stuck and then came loose?
