Default 6.0 build what do i need.

i just picked up a 6.0. its going to be a procharged motor in my 86 fox.
I'm trying to keep it on a budget as best as possible. I'm going to keep the stock crank and the 317 heads that came with it.

pistons? i might wait on these until i know how good the bore is. i know they will be forged.

rods? what rods are you guys using? forged h beam? brand? length?

lifters? Ive heard stock ls2?

push rods?

oil pump? would just a new stock ls1 pump work?

timing set?

valve springs, keepers, retainers?

can i reuse the stock rockers?

also i havn't decided on what intake to run (carb) super victor? victor jr? or gm single plane?

thanks for your help.

So your going to procharge a carbed motor? that should be fun ( ). Blow through I assume ( ).

stock rockers are rated for .550 lift, but many push past that with the stockers. good plan on keeping the 317 heads their 70cc chamber will keep your static compression down. you'll still want a dished piston. I think you'll find that a 4.030" bore is the most common with the widest selection of pistons for that bore. you can then still go out to 4.060 later if required but you would need to ditch the power adder.

would ls2 timing set be good? along with ls7 lifters?

and it looks to be ok just to run a stock oil pump.

The LS2 timing set is an upgrade, as is a ported iol pump, from what I have seen the stock oil pump is inconsistent I never really looked into why. maybe someone will chime in on that. last time I cheked Lingenfelter was selling high flow pumps for $115 which isn't that much more $$$ than a stocker.
