Default LQ4 6.0 liter build up

We are in search of a lq4 to put into a 77 corvette. I have some questions.

1. Iv seen on carcraft that the l92 heads are a much better flowing head and work great with the 6.0 liter. But, will an ls6 or ls3 intake bolt to these heads? Is it worth it to convert to these heads? Also will the corvette coil pak covers fit onto the these without any problem?

2. Also I have read that since it is going into a vette most people choose to convert to f-body style accessories. I understand that the ac compressor has to moved up, but what else needs to move and is it even neccessary??

3. Any other recomendations or comments ie: cam specs

Thanks Alot.

You might want to let folks know what your intentions are of the vehicle, Lots of drag, street, cruiser, night/weekends. All that helps to know.

I will be using the 241 camaro castings milled to ge the compression up to make the cam enjoy living in the motor.

Go search in the conversion section, you will have better luck over there.

l92 heads will require a new style square port intakes.

I don't know how much specific help you'll get on your engine build in the conversion section , but you will get more responses in the Gen IV section with regards to L92 heads & square port intakes,

Most of his question involve putting this in an old vette.

Other than that, searching on here will show him lots posts that have been created about the engine part. L92 swaps are all over the place on here.

ls3 intake will work but you will have to get a different throttle body

The ls6 intake will not work or even the ls1 intake and throttle body?? Is it worth it considering the limitations to the number of intakes available to swap to the l92 heads?
What are the power differences from the stock lq4 heads to the l92?

Allot, it would be easier to get a set of 2453s or 799s.

What are the stock lq4 iron heads? Also, how do the 799s compare to the l92 as far as flow goes?

Well, the 799 is a 243, but stock for stock, the L92 is the bad dude.

If this Vette is just going to be a dailly driver just stay with the stock head3. The comp ratio is 9.5 to one you can run cheap gas and not have any issues. With the stock heads a good cam may car put 413 hp to the tire and runs a 12.00 with a 3.50 rear gear.

The biggest issue is the intake. If you go with a ls6 intake you will have to modify the idler pulley and remove the water inlet an rotate it around 1/4 turn to the right to clear the throttle body.

if you PM me I can send some pictures or walk you through the mods
