.
Well, the STRONGEST streetable cam is going to have much more then "a little lope to it."

Most people are perfectly happy with a cam in the 224/224 112 range. On a bolt-on car (no head work) they will usually turn out 375-380 rwhp (obviously this range varies +/- about 10hp)

If you want to go with something a little more agressive you could look into a 224/227 112, 231/237 112 etc. I have also heard good things about the TR 230/224 111, granted you have a good exhaust setup.

There are really tons of cams though, so you should really provide alittle more information on exactly what you are looking for.

well one, list your mods that you already have or you might not even be setup for a cam yet. and take the time to read the at least 3 or 4 basic cam threads that are on the 1st and 2nd page.

and "streetable" is a relative term. some consider the x3 streetable but that **** is way to big for my liking.

take the time out to do the research man, it'll go a long way.

"Streetable" is definitely a relative term, try and actually drive or observe a car with the cam you plan on choosing.

I love questions like this. Without any information about your current set-up, or where you want to go with with this deal, your question might as well be: "How high is up?"

as others have said:

"Streetable is definitely a relative term"

to me (@ 20), the G5X2, GM ASA cam, and other 235+ duration cams are "streetable" for a daily driver......

for my dad (@ 56), the TR224/224 112LSA cam is not "streetable"......

sorry for making such a wide statement. i would prefer to have a cam that would give me better top end power for the highway. i will have all boltons but no work done to the engine. i want a cam that will go in without any flycutting or engine modifications. now what is your suggestions. and by streetable im going to be driving a lot of miles with this setup. not to have to worry about anything at alot of redlights.

All cams are streetable on the highway; it's around town going light to light that driveability suffers. How often if at all do you want to be changing springs? Do you mind surging (bucking) under 1500 rpm? Do you mind doing a lot of PCM tuning? What rpm do you want to peak at and what are your horse power goals?

i dont want to have to change the springs more thanonce every year and a half or two years. i dont mind some surging and bucking, i am driving a 68 ss/rs camaro with big cow hood. it has to have a little something to it, or it wouldnt be right. them old timers would give me a hard time for taking out the big block. as far as tuning i do not want to have to tune i all the time. maybe two or three times a year. i want to have 400+rwhp. as far as rpm peak, i have no idea. what ever i can saftely get out of it. im brand new, my ls1 is going in my car 68 this coming monday. i cant wait.

400 rwhp won't be that hard to get with a good cam and some decent heads

Go with a TR224 112LSA and a PCM tune after you get it running, that should do ya. But the biggest problem you're going to have is finding headers for that combination that won't cost an arm and a leg.

I know about the m2 cam put out by MMT and it flat out rocks with stock heads and full bolt ons as RWhite A4 vette is running consistently into the 10s with it on stock LS1 heads with his YANK, PT 4000 converter (the same one) i am running in my 98 427 car. MMT is running the single isky tool room springs with the M2 cam with no issues at all. Allegedly, this spring is the same exact designed used my many NASCAR teams.
