It will work, but you lose a lot of low end power. I assume you mean the LATE cam which is 204/218 duration and about .550 lift. The early cam which is 204/211 and .525 lift would actually serve you better as it has much stronger low end power. This is the same grind as the LS2, but the LS2 does not have the cam sensor rings on the cam.
