Question Torquer V2 or TSP 228 ?

Another cam question .Just trying to line everything up before I do it .
I think Ive narrowed it down to :
TSP V2 232-234 dur. with a 113 lsa or the 228R 114 lsa

I figure a 113-114 LSA will idle better and with a 4000 stall I wont need too much low RPM power.

My car is a :
1998 Z A4 (auto)
Yank ss4000 stall
Stock 853 heads
Ls6 Intake
Pacesetter LT's 1 3/4 w/ORY
Slp Air Lid
3:73 gears

Its not a DD ,but it is driven all the time .(weather permiting)
Its not a "track car " .But I do go to the track .It is also stock weight . Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Ms3 gets my vote. Ya u will have to swap springs but it would be worth it. Putting ms4 in mine. We basically have same mods. Wicked power.

Im open to suggestions on any proven cam.Would a ms3 or v3 be too much for stock 853's ? I need to keep it somewhat streetable too.

Ms3 is very streetable, assuming u are going to have it tuned. And the ms3 has a great power curve

Dont discount the TR228 and the likes from Thunder. They are a great company to deal with.

I have the 228 & I went with it because it offered a nice 40 whp gain, I didnt want to worry about PTV clearance & heard from many its a nice street cam. It is a nice cam but I wish I wouldve went a lil bigger like the V2. Both are great choices but it doesnt matter which one you go with later on you will always want something bigger.

G5x2 and love it, but not too much different from the V.2. on a 112+4. I wouldn't go with it on a 114... Mine idles fine with a decent tune.

It is true some people regret buying a small cam(220s-low 230s) and some dont. There have been a few people in the recent past to hit that magical 500 rwhp mark with a 346/347. Its all about combination, choose wisely, and u wont be disapointed.

Example: AFR 205's + 228/228 113* = 500 RWHP!!

no matter which cam you use
i feel like with the options you are picking from
with your mods and one of the cams you have chosen your going to be between 380-400rwhp
i personally think you would want a lil more later if yoiu chose the 228r but as far as the rest of them go id say they will be within a few hp of each other

I loved the V2 I had in my original engine with a 3600 stall. My lsa was 112 and was custom ground +3 degrees. It made the car lope real nice yet was very streetable. Moderator PatrickG can spec you a really nice cam taking into account what you have now and what you will be doing in the future to your ride. Good luck
