Default Jesel Rocker Arm Vs Yella Terra Ultra-lite Rocker Arm

I'm in a delima. I'm looking for some rockers for my TFS235/403 build and had originally decided to pick up the Yella Terra rocker arms for it but now have found a set of Jesel J2K non-adjustable shaft mount rockers with the mohawk lightening for a little more money than the Yella Terra's.

I know the Jesel name and all the top dog's run them. My question am I going to gain anything on my hydraulic roller setup over the semi-shaft mount Yella Terra's?

YT had a bad batch and they have acknowledged it and are taking care of them. Jeff you will be fine with the new replacements, no need to spend more money.

TO the OP... No there is no gain unless you were having an issue with valve control in the first place and chances are you were not.

If the money was within $50 or so I'd go to the Jesel because a good deal is hard to pass up.

Not sure which Jesels or age but some had a lip on the bottom what when taken over a certain lift would cause issues. You may want to check into this prior to picking them up and ensure you can use them. As a side note I have installed several sets of YT's without issue. As previously stated, they did have an issue that was rectified.

isnt the jesel issue on the adjustable rockers when used with extreme lift cams? (.750+)
if its close, or you plan to go wild in the future, then the jesels can add some stability and control, but at that point, youd need an adjustable rocker anyway.
go with the yella terrs, IMO.

when did yella terra have an issue with rockers?
i purchased a set in december of 2008.

Here's a link. Its a long read but Yella Terra responds and then responds again with the issue identified. Link

As for the Jesel rockers, I thought they didn't recommend use of the SS above stock lift.

The Jesel's are sold already so I'll just go with the proven Yella Terra's. If they brake it looks like they have good enough customer service to at least replace or fix the problem.

thanks for all your responses.

Buy them from a vendor who moves a lot of stock that way you don't end up with a set that may have been sitting on the shelf and may contain a rocker from the time frame where they had the problem. I think New Era turns them over quite a bit.

We use them all the time and offer you a "fresh" set as well.
