Question compare motors

Both build on a Darton Wet Sleeve big bore LS1 block set to 4.125" bore (this is SET)....

now:

Motor A) = 388 CI

4.125" bore, 3.622" stroke, 2.100" big end, 6.300" rod

Motor B) = 398 CI

4.125" bore, 3.720" stroke, 2.000" big end, 6.125" rod

These will be used in a 3300lb road race/street F-body (NO drag racing!). It is an aluminum flywheel M6 car with 3.73s gears.

Is the increase in stroke and decreases in weight worth the loss in rod length and the decrease in crank strength?

I'm personally like "Motor A" (something "feel" better about it) but I would like to know what others think (perhaps I'm missing something).

I would say no, but JMO. The longer the rod, the better IMO.
