Default Need help picking the right cam and not just some huge cam

The car is a low mileage driver and will see the track also. Here is some info on the car... i dont need a huge cam but a good running street cam with some good sound.

the car ... 1989 notch mustang
cars about 2950 lbs with the driver
ls1 engine
241 heads mild port work stock compression
1 3/4 long tube headers
th400 trans
4000 stall
3:55 gears
stock ls1 intake [ change soon ]
28.8 injectors


and i would like to use these springs if could to keep some cost down

you are most likey going to need to change out the injectors if you decide to get the cam done, i would say either go with a off the shelf 228/228 cam from thunder racing or get a custom cam, you need to at least be .600 lift on both intake and exhaust.

I would get a tr-228 if I was you. Its driveable enough to use as a DD if one wanted to and still should yield about 45hp gain. It will work awesome with your converter too BTW. And I would swap to an SVO 30 red top injector which is about 36 at our pressure.

those red tops should be perfect, im running the red tops and im about 73% duty cycle, which is a little low but just gives me some room to grow, those red tops should put you in 85% duty cycle or within that range.
