ls1 reading low temps after changing ect!!
Well first off my temps were reaching 200-205 fan kicking on at 195-200. So told gforce to put the fans on at 170 but they werent kicking in till later. So i decided to buy a new Engine coolant temp sensor becuase the old one was old and little corroded. After changing it my temps never pass 165-168 and fans are kicking in at 160 now is my guage right or is my ect actually do its job better than the old one.

It's easy enough to find out if he's in closed loop by connecting a scan tool. I find it hard to believe the temp didn't change with or without the thermostat. I tried that once thinking it might bring the water temp down, but it did just the opposite. The coolant was racing through the radiator so fast there wasn't enough time for the air passing over the cooling fins to pull the heat away and the water temp actually went up without the thermostat.
