Default check out my head gaskets

its a lq4 motor with 317 heads on it. I got GM MLS gaskets from a shop who builds a LOT of lsx motors so i can almost guarentee there the right ones and i even asked and he shows me the 6.0 stamped on them. Also made sure the "front" was on the front etc....... my question is WHY is the gasket sticking out the side of the head? It looks as if its the wrong gasket but i dunno. Is this just normal with the MLS gaskets? Figured its a lq4 wuth 317 heads, just how it comes from the factory ya know, lol.

If you're talking about the little rivits at the corners, they all do that.

The rivet won't compress the same as the rest of the gasket, so it has to be somewhere where it wont be inbetween the block and head.
