Default do i have everything for my cam install?

hey, im going to be putting my cam in within the next 3 weeks. i just wanna make sure i got everything i need before i start tearing it apart.

heres a list of everthing i got:

Ms4 cam
patriot gold dual springs, retianers, locks, seats
comp 7.4 pushrods
valve stem seals(16)
HD timing chain set
thunder racing camshaft install gasket set

is that all im gonna need for my cam swap?

Are you still using your stock oil pump? If so, how many miles?

yea man you should add head gaskets, head bolts, lifters and WITH OUT A DOUBT A OIL PUMP...i put my cam in with stock pump and stock lifters and my oil only gets to 60psi at W.O.T. and my lifters sometimes tick....

i have all the gaskets.i already have the ls6 oil pump so i wasnt gonna bother doing one. i really dont wanna mess with the heads key cause i will prob. be doing some 243 or some ported prc's in the future

Check that pushrod length....more often than not with that aggressive intake lobe you'll end up needing a 7.425" pushrod to get the preload where it needs to be!

New crank pulley bolt

pipe for breaker bar to loosen crank pulley bolt

small 3 arm pulley puller from Autozone

Valve spring compressor

Thread locker (blue - medium strength)

Assembly lube (put a little bit on the retainers so that they will stick to the valve stem while you are installing your springs)

printed instruction from www.ls1howto.com including the tools they recommend

ok, thanks guys, sounds like ill be good to go. i think a new crank pulley came with my gasket set from thunder racing. and im doing it at the shop i work at so ill have all the tools

You never mentioned spring shims, or do you just plan to drop on your springs and just leave things to chance??
