Default thickness of piston coatings?

does anyone know approximately how thick (how many 0.001") the "average" ceramic coating is?

It varies with who you have coat them and what coatings they are using. When we coat the pistons it is very thin coat .0003-.0005 at most. After we coat them we do not recommend increasing the bore size. Run the same bore that we recommended for the piston uncoated. The coatings will wear in once the motor has been run. But to be safe check with who ever you decide to go with for coatings. BTW, we use a teflon/moly skirt coat for ours.
