Default Is using L92 heads on 6.0 good idea ???

I have a 99 2wd extended cab Silverado,4,500 lb's.With a 2005 LQ9 engine,longtubes,compcam 208/212 dur,554/558 lift,and occasional 150hp nos shot,built tranny stock torque converter,it runs 13.7 at 102mph NA,and 12.4 at 112mph on 150 shot,getting ready to install a 3,200 Yank stall,keep in mind i use this truck to haul my car to the track,Would some L92 heads be to much flow or even right for my setup,on stock cube 6.0,with 4,500 pounds ??? Any help Thanks

I think the L92 intake runners are too large for your set-up. I would think you would lose some torque under 3000 rpms and hurt the gas mileage and power when towing. I would go a little bit bigger with your cam though, especially with a 3200 stall. 220/220-114 would be perfect I would think.

How so? These same heads come on Cadillac trucks and Denali's with no problems with towing. The g8's come with l92's on a 6.0 and those cars weigh in at 4200-4300 pounds and they have no problems running mid 13's stock.

OP go to performance trucks at the top of the screen you will get better answers there. Get a cam in the mid 220' duration to keep the low end torque thats what alot of truck guys do.
